Durham batter David Bedingham has been signed by SunRisers Eastern Cape as a wildcard pick for the third iteration of the SA20 beginning January 2025.
Bedingham’s call up comes off the back of impressive form for Durham in the Vitality Blast, accumulating 225 runs in just six innings with two half-centuries.
In a whirlwind year where the 30-year-old has scored a maiden Test century and amassed almost 1000 runs in the Vitality County Championship this term, this is another impressive feat for the South African international.
SunRisers are undoubtedly the SA20’s most successful franchise, having won both campaigns so far and will be looking to pick up their third consecutive title in the 2025 campaign.
Bedingham’s stint with Sunrisers will see him link up with the likes of Aiden Markram, Tristan Stubbs and Marco Jansen in addition to fellow new signings Zak Crawley and Craig Overton.
Bedingham is currently in the Caribbean representing his country with their Test series against West Indies set to begin Wednesday 8th August.
