Durham batsman Cameron Steel celebrated success at the WACA last weekend, winning the WACA Premier One-Day League with Claremont Nedlands.
The Tigers chalked up their first title of the season, chasing 171 with ease to win by seven wickets with more than 17 overs remaining.
Steel played an important hand alongside Nick Hobson, formerly of Newcastle CC, scoring 25 in a second wicket partnership of 74 to help them canter towards victory.
The right-hander also took a catch to remove opener Kallen Bond & picked up his winners medal at the iconic ground in Perth, before attentions quickly turned back to the two-day First Grade competition.

They will go up against University this weekend in a two-day encounter, with a place in the Preliminary Finals up for grabs.
Steel’s side go into the latter stages of the competition having topped the table, with the Durham man scoring 41 in their huge win over South Perth to finish the final round of fixtures.
While Aiden Markram has been busy impressing against the Australians in Durban, England & New Zealand continue their keenly-fought ODI series with one match left to decide the series after back-to-back thrillers.
Tom Latham produced yet another impressive knock to help keep the Blackcaps alive in the series, scoring 71 off 67 balls in a 187-run partnership with matchwinner Ross Taylor.
Ben Stokes & Mark Wood both managed a wicket apiece but the score is now level at 2-2 after England’s victory in the third match at Wellington. Stokes scored 39 with the bat & was inexpensive with the ball, going for 27 off six overs.
Back over in Australia, new recruit Nathan Rimmington is preparing for a third run at silverware as Sandgate-Redcliffe take on University of Queensland in their two-day semi-final.
The Gators finished second in the final Queensland First Grade competition, securing a home semi-final by beating South Brisbane.
Rimmington played yet another instrumental role in the win, taking 3/35 & two catches as the hosts were bowled out for 191. He then added 31 off 16 balls, including three fours & two sixes, to help seal victory.
The winners of this weekend’s semi-final will meet either Northern Suburbs or Toombul at Allan Border Field in the final, to be played over the weekend of 17/18 March.
Finally, Barry McCarthy played in Ireland’s Cricket World Cup Qualifier win over the Netherlands before being rested for the win over Papua New Guinea.
The pace bowler took 2/28 to help bowl the opposition out for 149, a big victory by 93 runs on the Duckworth-Lewis method.
