Durham side: Stoneman, Coetzer, Raine, Harmison B, Richardson (c/wk), Muchall P, Jennings, Coyne, Tye, Brathwaite, Davies.
Durham won the toss and elected to bowl first. Sussex were 47-3 after the first six overs with Mark Davies and AJ Tye picking up a wicket each in addition to an early run out. Sussex went on to post 161 in their 20 overs.
Mark Stoneman and Kyle Coetzer guided Durham to 56-1 with the latter the first casualty. Durham were 71-3 after nine overs with Stoneman and Ben Raine both dismissed.
After 14 overs Durham needed 53 off the final four overs having lost Paul Muchall and Michael Richardson. Durham couldn’t produce the explosive batting that was required in the closing stages and lost the final by 24 runs.
t20 semi final v Gloucestershire
Durham had Gloucester at 64-4 after 10 overs with Mark Davies claiming three scalps and Ruel Brathwaite the fourth wicket. Gloucester went on to score 142-9 from their 20 overs.
