Durham Cricket celebrates International Day of Charity

Durham Cricket today celebrates International Day of Charity [5 September] with a record number of charitable donations and deals throughout the 2024 season.

This season we’ve donated over 100 tickets to community charities and organisations in the county Durham region. These have included groups such as Changing lives, Rainbow Trust, Gingerbread group and Lifeline Community Action. These donations have raised much needed funding via raffles and provided gifts for hard working volunteers.

Over 4,000 tickets have been given at reduced cost to Schools, University students, Cricket Clubs, Community groups and blue light workers in a bid to make Cricket at Seat Unique Riverside more accessible for everyone.

On top of tickets, we have also donated equipment such as playing gear and merchandise such as signed shirts to community groups and clubs in need across this season.

Durham Cricket is committed to supporting organisations throughout the region and would like to thank all the dedicated volunteers and community workers for their tireless work.

As the season comes to a close, if you have any unwanted Cricket equipment you would like to donate to a community group in need, please reach out to Cameron Rochow at Cameron.rochow@durhamcricket.co.uk.
