Durham Cricket domestic fixture schedule confirmed for 2024 season

Durham return to Division 1 with a home clash against Hampshire on 5 April , as the ECB today confirmed the domestic schedule for the 2024 season.

After a 7-year hiatus in Division 2, Durham members will be able to see Ryan Campbell’s side in action for the first time since being crowned Division 2 Champions back in September.

The County Championship will be played in each month of the season – including back-to-back rounds in June and July ahead of the England Men’s Test summer.

Starting the season on home soil against Hampshire, Durham will then have back-to-back away games against Warwickshire and Worcestershire, rounding off the month at home to Essex on Friday 26 April.

Durham will kick off their T20 Vitality Blast campaign on the road, visiting Emirates Old Trafford to face Lancashire Lightning on Thursday 30 May, before facing Birmingham Bears a day later at Seat Unique Riverside as part of Blast Off alongside the Northern Diamonds in a double header clash.

Members can experience a four Friday night games under the lights, including our hotly anticipated derby day clash with Yorkshire Vikings on Friday 21 June.

Durham will look to reach the highs of the 2021 One-Day Cup where they reached the final when they travel to Sedbergh School to face Lancashire in their opening Metro Bank One Day Cup game on Wednesday 24 July.

Somerset will travel to Chester le Street for Durham’s List A home opener on Wednesday 31 July, with home games scheduled against Northamptonshire, Derbyshire and Hampshire.

The Metro Bank One Day Cup Final will return to a Saturday with Trent Bridge to host the decider on 22 September. The 18 First-Class Counties will each play one warm-up match against a National County with Durham taking on Northumberland on Sunday 21 July.

Durham will conclude their County Championship campaign on Tuesday 26 September hosting Kent.
