Durham represented in Super 4s competition

Durham are being represented by four players in the fourth annual England Development Programme Super 4s competition taking place this week.

Matthew Potts, Liam Trevaskis, Ross Greenwell and Fez Hussain have selected for the North side of the under-17 competition.

The competition, between four regional outfits, aims to provide the country’s best young players with the opportunity to pit their skills against each other.

It is being played at the National Cricket Performance Centre in Loughborough, with the week being another crucial step in their tactical and technical development.

The other regions are London and East, Midlands & South and West.

In their first game on Tuesday (23 August), the North side started with a 67-run win over London and East, with Trevaskis making 36.

Yesterday, they made it two from two by overcoming last year’s winners, Midlands, by six wickets. Yorkshire’s Harry Brook led the chase with 125 after our own Liam Trevaskis claimed 3/25 to restrict the Midlands to 234.

They finish against South and West, with the final and third/fourth place fixtures taking place at the weekend.

Updates from each game across the week will come via this page.
