Durham University become club’s university partner

Durham Cricket have joined forces with neighbours Durham University, who have become the club’s university partner.

The one-year partnership agreement will see Durham University branding located around the ground at Emirates Riverside, with signage positioned in the County Durham stand, Media Centre, and South Terrace stand.

Professor Claire O’Malley, Pro-Vice-Chancellor Global for Durham University, said: “We are thrilled to partner with our neighbours and friends at Durham County Cricket Club to further support their work in bringing world-class sport to the North East and developing the next generation of sporting heroes. We share their ambition to make County Durham a hub for excellence in sport and a place where everyone, whatever their level of ability, can enjoy physical activity and exercise and challenge themselves.”

Tom Seymour, Durham Cricket Sales Director, said: “We are delighted to have joined up with Durham University, to partner up with not just one of the best universities in the region but in the country is fantastic, and we look forward to working together over the next year.”

Durham University continues to advance its place as one of the world’s leading universities, so it is now fantastic to see their iconic branding displayed around the Riverside.”
