The Outlaws made confident progress during the powerplay, scoring pretty freely with the fielding restrictions in place.
A change of ends for the sixth over proved fruitful for Chris Rushworth who had Riki Wessels trapped lbw for 31 with the total at 58-1.
It was the thirteenth over before the Dynamos claimed a second scalp, that of Adam Voges, who was caught behind on 39 thanks to the tiniest of edges off the fifth ball of Plunkett’s second over.
Alex Hales, who had Wessels return as runner mid way through his innings after suffering with a hamstring niggle, scored his fifty off 29 balls, which included seven fours and a six. He was eventually dismissed for 67 in the 17th over when he was bowled outright by Mitchell Claydon with the Outlaws total at 171.
Claydon struck again in his next over when he bowled Samit Patel for just 10. The big hitting did continue until the close with the Outlaws posting 213 and David Hussey striking a huge six to bring up his fifty off the final delivery of the innings.
The Dynamos opening pair had the total at 20 before Gordon Muchall was caught at cover by Scott Elstone off the final delivery of the second over for 13.
Ian Blackwell added 9 runs to the total before he was bowled by Fletcher in the fifth over with the total 40-2.
The Dynamos were 55-3 in the seventh over when Phil Mustard was caught by Fletcher off Mullaney for 29. Two wickets fell within five deliveries with Collingwood caught by the substitute fielder off Patel for 6 and David Miller caught and bowled by Mullaney for 8 as the Dynamos fell to 69-5 after 8.5 overs.
Skipper Dale Benkenstein didn’t get a chance to dig in after he was caught by Hussey off Mullaney for 7 in the 11th over.
Breese, who top scored with 24, was caught by Voges off Carter with the total at 121-7 after putting on 37 with Liam Plunkett.
Claydon was caught off Fletcher for 19 in the penultimate over with the score at 151-8.
Pattinson struck twice in the final over with Rushworth (2) out courtesy of a pretty impressive sliding catch from Wessels and Plunkett caught by the sub for 24, which saw the Dynamos lose by 54 runs.
The Dynamos face Leicestershire Foxes in the FLt20 at Grace Road on Friday 17 June, 5.30pm.
