The Dynamos start week two of the Friends Life t20 on the road south, facing the Leicestershire Foxes at Grace Road this evening.
Dynamos skipper Paul Collingwood will be side-lined for the week-ends fixtures after suffering a laceration to his thumb in Durham’s match against Yorkshire on Sunday with an aim to be fit to play in Durham’s LV=County Championships starting Monday. One-Day Captain Mark Stoneman will make his debut as t20 skipper in Collingwood’s absence.
The Dynamos will be looking to register their second win of the 2013 Friends Life t20 season after mixed results in the opening week.
Durham went down to Lancashire at home on Friday night but got back on the winner’s list after a tense finishing affair against Yorkshire at Scarborough on Sunday. Phil Mustard (59 from 52) and Gordon Muchall 44no top scored for the Dynamos and Michael Richardson hit the winning runs with one ball to spare.
Durham’ opponents the Foxes will be looking for their first win of the t20 season after going down in both matches last week with Nottinghamshire defeating them by 7 wickets in their first game and Derbyshire victorious by 24 runs in their second match.
The match hits off at 5.30pm and fans can follow through Durham Twitter- @DurhamCricket #backinblack
