Chris Rushworth
As well as playing a vital part in Durham Jets’ run to the Vitality Blast quarter-final, Chris Rushworth continued his excellent red ball form in both matches played in August.
He took match figures of 8/64 in the thumping of Glamorgan at Sophia Gardens, including his 20th first-class five-for in the second innings, before taking five more in the home defeat against Northamptonshire.
The 32-year-old also enjoyed success against the same side in T20, taking a haul of 3/22 in the home win among his haul of seven Vitality Blast wickets in the month.
Tom Latham
Recently-departed Vitality Blast captain Tom Latham certainly left his mark at Emirates Riverside with another highly impressive spell as the Club’s overseas player.
The captain racked up 209 Blast runs in seven games during August, finishing as the North Group’s third highest-scorer after the quarter-final stage with 470 runs.
His highest scores last month came at Worcestershire Rapids (78) & Leicestershire Foxes (52).
Nathan Rimmington
Finishing as the Jets’ highest wicket-taker in Vitality Blast, Nathan Rimmington enjoyed a strong finish to the North Group campaign.
Rimmington’s 13 Blast wickets during August came at just under 16 runs per wicket, including a season best 4/28 in the home match against Lancashire Lightning.
That meant the Queenslander finished with 22 wickets in the competition, the fourth highest before Finals Day takes place a week on Saturday.
