England make Emirates Riverside return

England Under-19s will play two matches at Emirates Riverside against South Africa next summer.

The sides will meet in consecutive weeks in the North East in the second of two ‘Tests’ before beginning the One-Day series at the ground.

The four-day match begins on Monday, 16 July with the 50-over match taking place a week later on Monday, 23 July.

Scarborough will host the other Test & one One-Day fixture, with the other white ball match taking place at South Northumberland CC.

Matthew Potts & Liam Trevaskis both featured in the Young Lions’ latest fixtures, where the Test & One-Day series ended in defeat against a strong Indian outfit.

The Under-19s are currently in South Africa & building up towards the Under-19 World Cup in New Zealand during the New Year.

Durham Second XI coach Neil Killeen is acting as the side’s bowling coach throughout the winter.
