ENGLAND v SRI LANKA – FAQs
I have not received an email informing me if I have been successfully allocated tickets.
There could be a number of reasons for this – usually it is because we don’t have your email address on the system, we have an incorrect email address for you or you have previously unsubscribed from one of our emails which means, for GDPR reasons, our system will automatically block us from emailing you.
Please email box.office@durhamcricket.co.uk and we will send you your confirmation directly.
Could I have more details about the testing requirements to attend the game?
At this stage we do not have any more detail than that provided in your confirmation email. We do know that you will not have to take any tests after the game and there will be no cost to you and no social distancing restrictions once in the venue.
We must inform you that there will be additional requirements in relation to attending these events, as part of the Events Research Programme. This will include entry requirements in relation to proving that you have either received two doses of a COVID-19 vaccine (at least 14 days prior to attending the match) or that you have had a NHS negative lateral flow test for COVID-19 (to be taken within 48hrs of attending the match). Attendees will also be required to give their consent to attend and take part in the UK Government’s Events Research Programme – We are awaiting confirmation of the exact procedures from Government and these will be sent to you shortly.
Will I be in the seat I selected?
Yes – customers will retain their seat. There may be a few seats impacted by some measures we need to put in place but we will be in touch with these customers.
How was priority allocated?
When tickets originally went on sale we specified the criteria should we need to do a roll back – it was part of the terms and conditions of purchase – International cricket returns to Emirates Riverside, as England take on Sri Lanka | Durham Cricket
Members and those who had tickets for last years international were given first priority to purchase, then T20 season ticket holders and previous international purchasers and then those who entered the ballot.
The game was in high demand and didn’t make it to general sale.
When allocating tickets, we have given them on a first buy first allocated basis. The first 50% of purchasers have been allocated tickets. As the game was so popular these people had purchased early in the initial on-sale process.
Why did you sell all of the tickets to start with?
The game went on sale at the end of last year. It was difficult for anyone to predict that restrictions would last this long and indeed up until the announcement less than two weeks ago we were hopeful that we would have a full crowd.
When the tickets went on sale, we did clearly highlight the terms and conditions and the possibility of this situation occurring.
I was unsuccessful how do I claim a refund?

I was successful how do I claim a refund?
Please email ticketrefunds@durhamcricket.co.uk with your booking reference, name and address by 11pm on Tuesday 22 June. The address is in your confirmation email.
Can I claim a refund after this date and time?
Unfortunately, we will not be able to refund you after this time as tickets will be packed and sent from Tuesday evening.
We apologise for the tight timescales but we must send tickets to arrive ahead of the game.
Can I get a refund for just some of the tickets I bought and retain some?
Yes. Please email ticketrefunds@durhamcricket.co.uk with your booking reference, name and address and your specific request by 11pm on Tuesday 22 June.
Why has it taken so long to inform people?
Unfortunately, once restrictions were extended, we have been waiting for guidance and decisions from the Government who have been in discussions with the ECB and each club. We have been trying to get as many people into the game as possible so that we didn’t disappoint too many.
Will you be reallocating returned tickets?
We have calculated an allowance for the expected returns. If we receive significantly more returns than expected we would give those people who missed out on tickets the first opportunity to purchase returned tickets
Will there be food and drink available to purchase on the day?
Yes – the game will be run as any international would and there will be no restrictions within the ground although we would ask people to be mindful of others and act responsibly. Further more comprehensive details will be sent out to all those attending shortly.
