The highly anticipated return of international cricket between World Champions England and Sri Lanka at Emirates Riverside, have now SOLD OUT, after an impressive demand for tickets.
Tickets for the fixture on Tuesday 29 June 2021, have been snapped up with just a few single seats remaining in the ground – as the club sees another international fixture sell out in the north-east.
From the Don Robson Pavilion to the County Durham Stand, each seat in the ground will be filled, as cricket fans will have the opportunity to see England’s 2019 World Cup Winning side on home soil for the first time, following a year of fixtures played behind closed doors in 2020.
Following a huge uptake from Members and previous international buyers, the final batch of tickets were sold in just one day, as successful ballot entrants took advantage of being able to purchase their tickets.
Durham Cricket, Chief Executive Tim Bostock said: “All at Durham Cricket are absolutely delighted that tickets for next summer’s one-day international between England and Sri Lanka has sold out, before going on general sale.
“This has clearly demonstrated there is still very much an appetite for cricket, and we can now look forward to seeing the World Champions at Emirates Riverside again next summer.
“As CEO of Durham Cricket, I would like to sincerely thank all members and fans for once again supporting the club throughout this difficult period, your support is hugely appreciated, and we are preparing to bring you the best experience possible for the coming season.”
