Day 2
George Drissell claimed 5/18 from 14.1 overs but Durham 2XI face an uphill task against Leicestershire still needing 213 runs with 3 wickets in hand.
Trailing by 72 going into the second day Durham added just 8 runs to their overnight score and were bowled out for 131 early on the second day, as Will Davis picked up 6/43.
Mitchell Killeen struck in back-to-back balls to claim two early Leicestershire wickets in the sixth over, however Nick Welch led the way for the home side with an almost run a ball 90 before he was caught 10 runs shy of his century.
George Drissell was the pick of the Durham bowlers with 5/18 from 14.1 overs with Luke Robinson (2/19) and Mitchell Killeen (2/42) also striking as Leicestershire were bowled out for 232 setting Durham 304 to win.
Will Davis continued where he left off in the first innings picking up 3/30 as Durham slipped to 5/37.
Ben McKinney top scored with 20 while George Drissell closed unbeaten on 20* but Durham still require 213 with only 3 wickets left.
Day 1
Durham trail Leicestershire 2XI by 80 runs with just 3 wickets remaining going into day 2 at Kibworth.
Having won the toss Durham elected to bowl and took regular wickets throughout the Leicestershire innings to bowl the home side out for 203.
Mitchell Kileen was the pick of the bowlers with 3/26 from 9 overs, while each of Durham bowlers claimed 1 wicket apiece, with George Drissell bagging 2.
In reply, Durham lost 4 wickets quickly and found themselves 34/4 and in trouble. A 42 run partnership between Bas De Leede and Tom Mackintosh steadied the ship for the visitors however, Mackintosh feathered one behind for 16.
Bas De Leede was pinned lbw for 56 as Durham closed on 123/7 and trail Leicestershire by 80.
