Day 4: Derbyshire 407ao; (AK Dal 72, BJ Hutchinson 85*, LR Naylor 70); L.Trevaskis 4/61, OJ Gibson 4/93)
Four wickets from Liam Trevaskis and Oli Gibson saw Durham Seconds secure a 143 run victory over Derbyshire at South Northumberland Cricket Club.
Requiring seven more wickets for victory going into the final day, the home side struck in the second over of the day, as Oli Gibson had Nils Priestley caught for 3. Davidson was the next to go when Oli Gibson picked up his first of the day, Davidson was caught by Brodie Glendinning.
Derbyshire were soon six down, as Gibson had Clark caught in the slips by Mike Jones for 9.
Anuj Dal was batting nicely, but he was soon bowled as Oli Gibson sent the Derbyshire man back to the pavilion, for a well made 72 from 123 balls, with six fours.
Having been on top in the early stages of the morning session, an eight wicket stand from Hutchinson and Naylor guided the visitors to 360/8, before Liam Naylor was bowled for 70.
A 47 run partnership from Ben Hutchinson and Jordan Cook guided Derbyshire past the 400 mark, but both fell shortly after to Liam Trevaskis and Alex Thomson.
Trevaskis claimed 4/61, Oli Gibson 4/93, with Alex Thomson picking up 2/56.
As Derbyshire were bowled out for 407, Durham winning by 143 runs.
Day 3: Durham 185/8 dec; (Trevaskis 73, Trevaskis 2/25; MH McKiernan 71, AL Hughes 68 AK Dal 51*) Durham lead by 355
Durham require seven more wickets for victory against Derbyshire on Day 4 at South Northumberland Cricket Club.
Having bowled Derbyshire out for 187 on Day 2, Durham didn’t enforce the follow on over night, deciding to bat again with a lead of 365.
Derbyshire struck early, as Durham were reduced to 32/3. Wickets continued to fall throughout the innings but 73 from Liam Trevaskis steadied the ship, as he remained unbeaten from 74 balls with five fours and three sixes.
Oli Gibson added 21, supported by 21 not out from Jack Campbell, as Durham set the Midlands side 551 to win.
Mattie McKiernan was the pick of the Derbyshire bowlers, as the leg break bowler claimed 3/22.
Derbyshire began their chase positively in reply, with Alex Thomson claiming the first wicket as he bowled McKiernan for 71, with 94 on the board.
Alex Hughes was progressing nicely, before he was trapped leg before, for 68, as Liam Trevaskis claimed his first wicket of the inning. Trevaskis soon had his second as Davidson was caught for 1 by Sean Dickson.
Anuj Dal brought up a half century in 98 balls, as he remains unbeaten over night, Derbyshire closing on 196/3, trailing by 355.
Day 2: Durham 552/4 dec; (MA Jones 200*, JJ Bushnell 71, P.Coughlin 58) Derbyshire 187ao (OJ Gibson 3/42) Durham lead by 365 runs.
Michael Jones scored an unbeaten 200, as Durham Seconds posted an impressive 552/4 declared at South Northumberland.
Before Durham went onto bowl the visitors out for 187, leading by 365.
Jones who closed Day 1 on 130, continued where he left off with a four through mid-wicket second ball of day to bring up Durham’s 400.
The right-handers sublime innings saw Jones hit 32 fours, in an innings which lasted 366 minutes.
He was ably supported by Jonathan Bushnell, who scored 71, sharing a fourth wicket stand of 178, before Bushnell was caught off the bowling of Abdur Bhuiyan.
The dismissal of Bushnell brought Paul Coughlin to the crease, who was right into the action as he scored a quick fire 58 from 62 balls with four sixes and three fours.
Jones 200 brought up the Durham declaration just before 2pm. Bhuiyan picked up two wickets (2-62), while George Scrimshaw and Alex Hughes struck.
Matthew Potts was the first to strike in reply, bowling Tom Wood for 15, with Oli Gibson dismissing Brooke Guest five overs later for 38.
Alex Hughes hit four fours before he was caught at slip as Paul Coughlin caught a low catch for 25.
Durham continued to be on top as wickets kept falling with Gibson, Campbell, Coughlin, Thomson and Trevaskis all striking as Derbyshire were bowled out for 187, Durham leading by 365.

Day 1: Durham 398/3 (96); G Clark 147, MA Jones 130*)
Centuries from Graham Clark and Michael Jones put Durham Seconds into a commanding position at the close of play on day 1 against Derbyshire at South Northumberland Cricket Club.
The seconds who are playing in their second match of this summer’s ECB County Championship won the toss and elected to bat in Gosforth.
Sol Bell and Graham Clark got off to a great start with the bat, as they put on 102 for the first wicket, before Bell was out caught behind for 40.
Clark hit 24 fours in an 190 ball innings, scoring 147, sharing a third wicket stand of 126 with Jones.
Jones who remains unbeaten overnight, closed on 130 from 179 balls bringing his century up in 128 balls.
Jonathan Bushnell supported Jones in the final session of day one, as he scored a half-century with eight fours, Durham closing day 1 on 398/3.
Scrimshaw, Bhutan and Hughes all picked up one wicket apiece for Derbyshire.
