Groundstaff Event: Pre-Season Ground Preparations

Durham Cricket and its Groundstaff Association will be holding a Pre-Season Groundstaff event at The Riverside on Tuesday, 1st March.

Led by Durham Cricket Head Groundsman Vic Demain, the event is a unique opportunity to get advice and join a network of local groundstaff from across the county.

As we get close to the season, the event will be covering pre-season ground preparations with Vic delivering a talk on early season work including rolling, fertilization, spiking and outfields.

Andrew Welsby, who is the Regional Pitch Advisor for Cricket for North and Midlands with the Grounds Management Association (GMA), will talk about Groundstaff courses available and the launch of a new mobile app by the Association called PitchPower.

The event will be held at the Castle View at the Riverside on Tuesday, 1st March from 6.30pm.
