Hard yards at the Beacon of Light

Durham CCC’s squad were put through their paces at the Beacon of Light as part of their ongoing winter training schedule.

Yesterday (Tuesday, 11 December) the players were invited to use the facilities at the brand new, £20 million facility located next to the Stadium of Light, Sunderland.

The lads were put through their paces by strength & conditioning coach, James Bell, before taking in a game of football on the football barn.

Durham batsman Graham Clark said: “The facilities are unbelievable. It’s not very often you see a place like this & get to use it. To take full advantage has been really good fun.”

The squad are working through an intensive pre-Christmas programme which combines strength & conditioning work at Emirates Riverside with other sessions such as boxing & pilates.
