Day 3
Day 3 at South Northumberland was once again heavily interrupted by rain with no further play after 11:45am.
With Durham needing 3 wickets to bowl Leicestershire out in their first innings, the home side got off to the best of starts when Oliver Sutton bowled Freddie Fallows first ball of the for 17.
Sutton then claimed his second of the morning 4 overs later trapping Hull lbw after he left a ball for 5.
Sebastian Allison then wrapped up the innings pinning Nick Welch lbw for 73, as Leicestershire were bowled out for 215 and trailing by 121.
Durham were only able to face 3 overs of the morning with Crawshaw (8) and Crawley (6) the batters in the middle, as Durham closed on 14/0 and leading by 135.
Day 2
Durham’s Seconds head into day 3 with a lead of 151 in their Second Championship match against Leicestershire at South Northumberland, following a strong day all round.
The home side were dismissed for 336 with the majority of the Durham side contributing with the bat.
Harry Crawshaw was unbeaten on 53 overnight and went onto score a well-made 70 before he was caught off the bowling of Sam Wood.
A 147-run partnership for the 6th wicket between Ollie Sutton and Haydon Mustard helped Durham
Durham’s Seconds head into the final day with a lead of 272 as they aim to push for victory against Worcestershire at Kidderminster.
Oliver Sutton top scored with a superb 83 from 133 balls including 12 fours and 2 sixes backed by 62 from Haydon Mustard on his 2XI debut for the club.
Sebastian Allison added 30 as Durham were bowled out for 336 in 97.1 overs.
Durham soon had both the Leicestershire openers back in the pavilion as Sutton and Allison dismissed the Foxes openers cheaply.
Two wickets apiece from the Durham opening bowlers (Allison 2/22) and Sutton (2/34) alongside one wicket each from Lumsden, Cooke, and Doneathy left the visitors on 185/7 and Durham leading by 151.
Nick Welsh finished unbeaten on 52.
Day 1 Durham 90/2 (H.Crawshaw 53*)
Only 31 overs were possible of Durham v Leicestershire in the 2XI Championship at South Northumberland as rain interrupted day 1.
Harry Crawshaw led the way for the home side with an unbeaten 53 from 89 balls as Durham were 90/2 when play was halted, supported by Graham Clark 14*.
Uday Modhwadia and Sam Wood claimed the two wickets to fall with Jamie Crawley (18) and Luke Doneathy (5) the two Durham batter out.
