Harte included in 14 man squad for Emirates Riverside double header

Blast cricket returns to Emirates Riverside this week when Durham go up against Leicestershire Foxes and Lancashire Lightning as T20 season continues.

Leicestershire Foxes are the visitors tomorrow [Wednesday] for the first of two games in three days before Lancashire Lightning visit on Friday.

Durham have had a mixed campaign so far with two wins and two losses, sitting sixth in the North division, having secured victories over Northants Steelbacks and Leicestershire Foxes already this season.

Durham only faced the Foxes last Friday night at the Fischer County Ground, in a night which records were broken as Durham chased down 158 in 11.1 overs. Durham did however go down against the Lightning by 72 runs earlier in the campaign, so will be looking to put things right on home soil.

Lancashire sit top of the North group having won three games with two washouts while Leicestershire are bottom of the division, picking up their first win over Notts Outlaws on Sunday afternoon.

Peter Handscomb will make his home debut against the Foxes, having scored 37 from 28 balls at New Road on Sunday and will receive a welcome return in his first appearance in Chester le Street.

Gareth Harte is also included in the T20 squad for the first time this season.
