On top of this action packed day of cricket, DCCC and County Durham Community Foundation are hosting a star-studded birthday celebration, with family focused fun that will help to raise much-needed funds to support good causes in the county.
The event – Durham’s Big Birthday Blast – celebrating 20 years since the first ball bowled at the ground will also play host to some fantastic family entertainment, including interval entertainment from Peppa Pig and SpongeBob SquarePants, soft play, mini funfair, face painting, food and drink from local producers and much more.
Gates open at 12 noon, with the Lashings XI cricket match starting at 3pm.
