Tom Latham could make his Durham Jets debut tomorrow after being included in the squad for tomorrow’s Derby Day clash against Yorkshire Vikings (6:30pm start).
The New Zealander returned from a foot injury to smash 241 for the 2nd XI against MCC Young Cricketers on Tuesday, the highest score in DCCC 2nd XI history.
He could be in line for a first Jets appearance subject to a fitness test before the match.
Brydon Carse could also make his Jets debut after returning to the squad for the first time since April.
The 22-year-old scored his first century for the club in the MCCYCs fixture this week & also returned to bowling after playing as a bastman-only in recent weeks.
The pair have been added to a 14-man squad as the Jets look to avenge last week’s televised defeat against the Vikings at Headingley.
Paul Collingwood, scorer of Durham’s first T20 century & the oldest centurion in T20 history, is again included after his historic innings at Worcestershire Rapids last time out.
Tickets are available at £15 adults & £5 juniors in advance, with adults £20 on the day.
