Leicestershire next up for Durham

Durham make their third consecutive away trip in the Specsavers County Champions when we visit Grace Road to take on Leicestershire starting tomorrow (Sunday 7th July).

Cameron Bancroft’s unbeaten 92 in the second innings at Sedbergh against Lancashire maintained James Franklin’s sides unbeaten run in the competition – securing a draw in the final session of day four.

The hosts come into the game on the back of the draw away at Northamptonshire and sit fifth in the Division Two table – six points ahead of Durham who sit sixth.

Victory for Durham at Leicester could potentially lift the side up to fourth – pending other results.

Franklin has selected a 13-man squad for the trip which includes left-arm seamer Jack Campbell – who could make his debut for Durham.

Nathan Rimmington retains his place in the squad after a scintillating performance with bat and ball, taking eight wickets in the match and producing a knock of 53 in the first innings.

Meanwhile the former Leicestershire duo of Ben Raine and Ned Eckersley are set to return to their former stomping ground for the first time since their summer moves to the Emirates Riverside in the red-ball format.
