Mark Wood named in England white ball squads for Bangladesh series

Mark Wood is named in the England T20 and ODI squads for their tour to Bangladesh in March.

England Men’s selection panel have named the two 15-player squads which gets underway on Wednesday 1st March with the 1st ODI fixture at Sher-e-Bangla National Stadium, Dhaka.

Mark Wood returns to the white ball squad having been rested for their recent tour of South Africa which saw England lose the series 2-1.

Uncapped Somerset batter Tom Abell, who is set to captain the England Lions in the upcoming ODI series in Sri Lanka, is included in both squads while Leicestershire leg-spinner Rehan Ahmed earns his first call-up to an England white-ball squad.

Saqib Mahmood is recalled to the ODI squad as he prepares to make his return to full international cricket following the back injury he suffered last May.

The three-match IT20 series will be England’s first since being crowned world champions at last November’s ICC Men’s T20 World Cup in Australia.
