Mark Wood has been selected by head coach Jon Lewis for tomorrow’s fixture against Sri Lanka A (11am start) as the England seamer continues to recover from his ankle surgery.
Wood has not played since the end of October when he was part of the England Test side that faced Pakistan in the UAE. He will only play as a batsman in Durham’s four-day match against Sri Lanka A and will continue to work on his bowling over the upcoming weeks.
Wood is expected to make his full return against Lancashire in the Specsavers County Championship at Southport on July 16.
