Durham seamer Mitchell Killeen will join up with the England under-19s squad for their ODI series against Sri Lanka.
The 3 match ODI series gets underway on Monday at New Road, Worcester, with Mitchell being the fourth Durham Academy player to receive a call up for the England under-19s this summer.
ECB’s Elite Performance Pathway Coach, Richard Dawson, said:“We’re really looking forward to this series and seeing how a wide range of the best young men’s players in this country adapt to the challenge and opportunity of international age-group cricket.
“Already this season it’s been encouraging to see a number of the guys from our World Cup squad earning regular selection for their counties and making some significant contributions.”
Durham Academy Director, John Windows said: ” This is a great achievement for Mitchell to be called up to the England under-19s squad. Having been involved with the first team squad in the Royal London Cup this sets him up to perform at international level.
