The ECB England Performance Programme (EPP), formerly the ECB National Academy Programme, this year commences on 29th October with two and a half weeks at the National Cricket Performance Centre at Loughborough, followed by a four week High Performance Camp in India from mid-November to mid-December. The High Performance Camp in India will be based in Mohali and Chennai and it is planned to play two four day matches.
In addition to providing an ideal environment for members of the EPP to develop their skills, the High Performance Camp will also help to ensure that stand-by players for the England Test squad’s tour of Sri Lanka are well prepared in the event of any call-ups.
An England Lions ODI Tour is planned for February 2008 (venue and opposition to be confirmed). The squad for this tour will be confirmed in late December and the tour will be preceded by a preparation programme at Loughborough in January 2008.

Chairman of Selectors, David Graveney, said, “The Test squad for the Sri Lanka Test Series will not be finalised until after the end of the current ODI Series and a number of players within this EPP squad will be considered by the Selectors for potential inclusion in the Test Squad.”
