Nominations Open: Grassroots Cricket Awards

Nominations for the Grassroots Cricket Awards, previously Outstanding Service to Cricket Awards (OSCAs), are now open.

The awards are held to recognise the hard work thousands of volunteers across Durham put into the recreational game each season.

Nominations can be submitted in 11 award categories, including five newly introduced categories: “Connecting Communities”, “Inspired to Play”, “Unsung Hero”, “Growing the Game” and “Cricket Innovators”.

Two awards are dedicated to young volunteers – “Rising Star” for volunteers aged 11-16 and “Game Changer” for those between the ages of 17 and 25.

In Durham, we have maintained three local categories recognising women’s and girls’ cricket development, All Stars Cricket centres and volunteers supporting junior cricket.

Unsuccessful nominees from previous years who are still doing valuable voluntary work are eligible for consideration on submission of an updated testimonial.

Nominations should be submitted before midnight on Sunday,8 August.
