The North East Warriors’ opening fixtures have been cancelled and will no longer take place tomorrow, 16th April, at South Northumberland Cricket Club.
Due to the weather conditions, a decision has been taken to not play the ECB fixtures against Yorkshire and Cumbria.
The teams are exploring an opportunity to reschedule the games later in the season.
The Warriors were due to start their season this weekend, but their first game of 2023 will now be a friendly on Thursday, 20th April against the University at Essex.
Taking place at Brandon Cricket Club from 5pm, this warm-up fixture will precede the now first ECB T20 Cup weekend next Sunday 23 April, when the Warriors take on Nottinghamshire and Derbyshire at York Cricket Club.
