North East Warriors set for season start this weekend

The North East Warriors Women are set to start their season this Sunday, 25th April.

Eighteen players have been selected to the North East Warriors, including Helen Fenby, Rachel Hopkins, Layla Tipton and Ami Campbell.

The team is starting its season campaign this weekend with two games against Lancashire Women, taking place at Burnopfield Cricket Club on Sunday, 25th April.

This will be the Warriors’ first full season as a new merged side between Durham Cricket and Northumberland Cricket Board, following the announcement of a united high performance pathway for women and girls in the North East in 2019.

The North East Warriors played a shortened season in 2020 and are looking forward to a full first season.
