Northern Diamonds to play in the Rachel Heyhoe Flint Trophy Final

Northern Diamonds are set to play Southern Vipers in the Rachael Heyhoe Flint Trophy final this Sunday, as four North East Warriors are to embark on a monumental experience in their careers.

North East Warriors Layla Tipton, Helen Fenby, Ami Campbell and Rachel Hopkins will be at the inaugural final at Edgbaston.

Tipton, Fenby, Campbell and Hopkins are all part of Head Coach Danielle Hazell’s squad and have been involved in Northern Diamond’s outstanding debut campaign this season.

The four players are part of the merged senior women’s side between Durham Cricket and Northumberland Cricket Board, now named the North East Warriors.

The Northern Diamonds, representing Durham, Yorkshire and Northumberland, secured their ticket to this weekend’s final after topping the North Group with five wins from six.
