Graham Onions walked away with three of the top prizes, including the Emirates Player of the Year and Brewin Dolphin Players’ Player of the Year at Durham County Cricket Club’s Player of the Year Dinner.
Onions, who took 64 first class wickets in the season, including the incredible feat of taking 9 wickets and a run out in an innings at Trent Bridge also deservedly, claimed the accolade for Port of Tyne Bowler of the Year.
Scott Borthwick was a double award winner after he was named EBAC Young Player of the Year and Muckle LLP Fielder of the Year.
Opener Mark Stoneman, who was the leading run scorer in the LV= County Championship and the Clydesdale Bank 40 competition was named Batsman of the Year.
Keaton Jennings, whose first team debut followed an excellent season for the 2XI which included two double hundreds, was awarded the Newcastle International Airport 2XI Player of the Year accolade.
The Sunderland University Community Player Trophy was shared between youngsters Jamie Harrison and Mark Wood who have made a superb contribution to projects off the field, organised by Durham CCC and The Durham County cricket Foundation.
