Online Stage Two Umpire Courses

Durham Cricket Association of Cricket Officials are offering potential new umpires a final chance to attend a Stage Two Umpire Education Course, as the season edges closer.

Having held two successful Stage Two courses this winter already, Durham Cricket ACO have confirmed another two courses to be held in March until April.

The five week virtual course will be the last opportunity to train and become a qualified umpire ahead of the 2021 season. Durham ACO are offering courses over numerous days to accommodate those people interested in becoming an umpire.

To attend one of the two courses candidates must have completed the Umpire Stage One course either in person or via the virtual learning hub.

Two courses are available – one taking place on Sundays starting on Sunday, 21 March and another taking place on Tuesdays starting on Tuesday, 23 March.

Durham Cricket ACO Chairman Harry Stephenson added: “Due to how popular our Stage Two courses have been this winter, we have confirmed two further courses. These sessions will offer new umpires the chance to learn what is required to take to the field this summer and we recommend anyone with a keen interest in cricket to give it a go.”
