Voting is now open for May’s Player of the Month award, sponsored by Sage Wealth Management.
Three players are in the running & the voting is open at the bottom of this page via Twitter until midday on Friday, 14 June.
Chris Rushworth
The veteran quick took 11 wickets in two Specsavers County Championship matches, including a 22nd first-class five-for in the defeat at Worcestershire.
Chasing just 81 to win, Rushworth put the fright up the hosts’ batting line-up by running through the top order in quick time.
It proved too little a total to defend but he took seven in the match & added a further four more against Gloucestershire next time out.
Matt Salisbury
Rushworth’s new ball partner managed ten wickets across the two Specsavers County Championship matches in the month, including a season-best 4/67 against Worcestershire.
He was the pick of the bowlers in the defeat against Gloucestershire, taking three wickets in either innings & finishing the month with a bowling average of 16.
Jack Burnham
The right-hander scored his first Championship fifty since coming back into the side this season, making an innings-high 76 during the first innings at Worcestershire.
He then scored an innings-high 43 to save Durham from a precarious position in the first innings against Gloucestershire.
Who gets it?
