Durham travel to Headingley tomorrow [11am] for their final pre-season fixture ahead of next week’s Vitality County Championship Division One opener against Hampshire at Seat Unique Riverside.
A 13-player squad has been named for the two-day clash, with Graham Clark, Brydon Carse, Alex Lees, Scott Borthwick, Ollie Robinson and Callum Parkinson joining the squad having not featured last week against Durham UCCE.
Bas de Leede, Michael Jones, Luke Robinson, Daniel Hogg, Paul Coughlin and Ben Raine all remain in the 13 having been involved last week against Durham UCCE.
All 13 players will feature in the two-day fixture which will see one side bat for the first two sessions on Sunday, bowl the evening session ahead of one side batting the first two sessions on Monday and then bowling the final session on Monday.
Words from Ryan Campbell
It was a fantastic hit out against Durham UCCE last week, the fast-bowling stocks got a good amount of overs into their legs, having not had much time outside over the last few weeks, so that was important, then we had some good contributions with the bat over the three days. The Durham University lads batted very nicely against us, so it was a good contest overall.
This two-day against Yorkshire is about match time for some of the guys. Alex Lees and Ollie Robinson need some time in the middle and Scott Borthwick and Graham Clark return also. We will play a couple of the young guys in Luke Robinson and Daniel Hogg so that is exciting to see them play. As long as we get two full days of cricket in then that is the main thing and both teams can get out of it what they need from it.
