Pre-season resumes against Notts

Day One

Durham’s bowlers were given another good workout in Potchefstroom as they bowled Nottinghamshire out for 271 at the PUK Oval.

Chris Rushworth was again the pick of the bowlers, taking 4/22 off 11.3 overs as six of the attack picked up wickets.

Matt Salisbury took two with James Weighell, Ben Raine, Liam Trevaskis & Scott Steel all taking one apiece, while ex-Durham bowler Paul Coughlin top-scored with 56 before falling to Salisbury.

Rushworth impressed for much of the day, trapping both Joe Clarke & Ben Slater LBW before ending the innings by taking two in three balls.

Tomorrow is the batsmen’s turn to face the red ball for the final time on the tour before a 50-over warm-up against local opposition on Monday to close out the trip.
