Durham Women travel to Berkshire and Essex for a double weekend in search of at least another victory.
Durham claimed their first win in Division 2 of Royal London Women’s County One-Day Championship last Sunday, but are still sitting second last in the league table.
The team will be under pressure to perform in the upcoming games in the pursue to prove that they can compete in the division.
Durham will play Berkshire on Sunday, 26 May, at North Maidenhead Cricket Club. The home side remain unbeaten with three wins and one abandoned game.
Second in the division Berskshire will look for a strong result which could allow them to overtake top-table Devon.
On Monday, 27 May, Durham are set to face Essex at Billericay Cricket Club. Essex, currently fifth in the table, have had a mixed season so far with two wins and two defeats.
Captain Helen Fenby said: “We have a lot of confidence in us now after a really good win (last weekend) so we’re going to train hard and make sure when we go to Berkshire and Essex that we’ve got good performances behind us.
“Everyone’s had good experience in the middle now and we’ve got a lot of confidence to go in and hopefully (we can) take a win from at least one of the games this weekend.”
