Preview: Durham vs Essex and Derbyshire

Durham Women will look to maintain their top-table place in Division 2 of the Vitality County T20 competition when they face Essex and Derbyshire this Sunday, 23 June.

Durham will play Essex first – a team they have already played in the fifty-over format, against which Durham suffered a disappointing 1-wicket defeat.

Essex currently sit mid-table, with one lost, one won and two cancelled games.

Durham will then face Debryshire – an unfamiliar side for the squad this season.

Derbyshire are currently bottom in the division, with two lost and two cancelled games.

Durham Captain Helen Fenby said: “Hopefully we can come away with two wins again because we are a very in-form team in this competition now and we’re hoping for two wins next weekend.”

Durham play Essex at 1.30pm on Sunday, 23 June, followed by Derbyshire at 4.30pm.

All games take place at Rolleston Cricket Club, Burton-on-Trent.
