Quick bowler Brandon Glover joins Durham

Durham Cricket have strengthened its seam bowling department with the signing of exciting quick Brandon Glover, who will join the Club ahead of the 2023 season.

Glover who qualifies to play for the Netherlands due to his Dutch parents – will re-join up with Durham Head Coach Ryan Campbell, signing on a 2-year deal.

The Netherlands international, who bowls at speeds in excess of 85mph, was the leading wicket taker in T20 International cricket in 2019 – also impressing with 7 wickets during the recent World Cup in Australia.

Right-arm quick Glover put in a deadly performance against South Africa claiming 3/9 including the dismissals of Rilee Rossouw and David Miller to help the Netherlands to a famous win – resulting in automatic qualification for the 2024 World Cup in West Indies & USA.

Glover most recently spent three seasons with Northamptonshire, making appearances in all three formats for the Wantage Road side over a three-season spell, taking 11 T20 wickets during that period.

A strong 2021 Blast season earned him a call up with the Oval Invincibles for the inaugural season of the Hundred.

The 25-year-old has 134 wickets across all formats with a best of 4/12 against the UAE adding to his current record of 88 wickets in the shorter format, while he has 24 first-class dismissals to his name.
