Richardson receives reprimand

Michael Richardson has received a reprimand by the Cricket Discipline Committee for Fixed Penalty Directive breaches.

Richardson was reported by umpires Richard Kettleborough and Paul Baldwin during Durham’s Specsavers County Championship match against Derbyshire on 11 – 14 May 2018.

The Cricket Liaison Officer, Stuart Cummings, determined that Richardson had committed a Level 1 breach of the Directives (showing dissent at an umpire’s decision by word or action).

The penalty for each of these offences is a reprimand. These penalties will remain on their records for a period of two years and the accumulation of nine or more penalty points in any two year period will result in an automatic suspension.
