Chris Rushworth reached a three figure milestone when he was selected for Durham’s Specsavers County Championship match against Leicestershire last week.
The 31-year-old notched his 100th first-class appearance for the Club in the thrilling victory.
He became the 13th player to achieve the feat, joining John Morris on the hundred mark & just one behind current Second XI head coach Neil Killeen.
Paul Collingwood leads the list with 217 & counting, followed by Phil Mustard (185) & Gordon Muchall (160). Current head coach Jon Lewis comes in fourth with 146.
Rushworth’s additional two first-class matches both came for the MCC in the traditional Champion County matches in 2014 & 2015.
In that time, the pace bowler has accumulated 359 wickets at an average of just 24.37, with 18 five-wicket hauls.
His career-best effort remains 9/52 against Northamptonshire in 2014, a memorable effort in which he claimed 15 inside a day to finish with the best analysis in the Club’s first-class history, 15/95.
