Schools invited to join the world’s greatest cricket celebration for free

Schools across England and Wales have the once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to be part of the ICC Cricket World Cup action next summer for free.

As ten of the world’s top international sides will come to England and Wales next summer to battle it out for the biggest prize in world cricket – school kids will be invited to soak up the unique World Cup atmosphere.

From today, schools can apply for free tickets for ICC Cricket World Cup fixtures or to play the key role of Anthem Kids through the World Cup Schools Programme, hosted on the Chance to Shine Teachers’ Portal.

In Durham, we are hosting three weekday ICC Cricket World Cup fixtures, tickets for which schools can apply for now.

In addition, schools can also submit their interest for Anthem Kids opportunities. The Anthem kids will get the thrill of walking out with the teams for the national anthems on the field and take part in mini cricket games in front of thousands of spectators during the mid-innings break.

If you are a teacher and would like to apply on behalf of your school, click the button below to log in or create a new account and access the many opportunities available through the World Cup Schools Portal.

With over one million people expected to attend matches and World Cup activations in England and Wales next summer – and a further 1.5 billion watching around the world – the ICC Cricket World Cup promises to be one of the best yet.
