Durham’s Second XI fixtures have been confirmed for the 2024 season, with fixtures announced in both the 2nd XI Championship and 2nd XI T20 Trophy along with a number of friendlies.
Preparations for the season will commence on Friday 5 April with a two-day friendly against Leeds UCCE at Weetwood followed by a two day warm up against Durham UCCE on Wednesday 10 and Thursday 11 April at the Racecourse.
The 2nd XI then begin their Championship season away at Emirates Old Trafford where they take on Lancashire from Monday 15 April followed by a trip to Repton School on Monday 6 May going up against Derbyshire.
The 2nd XI T20 Trophy will get underway in May, with two T20 warm up matches scheduled against Northamptonshire at Campbell Park, Milton Keynes on Tuesday 14 and Wednesday 15 May.
Durham will open their North group campaign against Lancashire at Ropery Lane on 23 May, with all T20 fixtures now being played over two days compared to the double headers played in previous years.
A week later Durham host Nottinghamshire at South Northumberland, on Monday 27 May and Tuesday 28 May. Away trips will follow against Leicestershire and Yorkshire.
Away Championship fixtures will be played against Nottinghamshire at Notts Sports Ground, while Scarborough host Yorkshire against Durham in the penultimate fixture.
Home games in the 2nd XI Championship will also take place against Northamptonshire at Darlington, Warwickshire at Burnopfield and Nottinghamshire at South Northumberland.
