Seconds aiming for second title in three years

Neil Killeen’s Second XI are aiming for a second Championship title in three years when they take on Essex in the final at Emirates Riverside starting tomorrow (10:30am start).

The North Group leaders come up against the winners of the South Group for the right to be crowned Champions in a four-day fixture.

Durham’s second string enjoyed Emirates Riverside success two years ago by thrashing Middlesex & are going in search of victory over a strong Essex outfit who recently beat Durham in Second XI T20 Finals Day.

Head coach Killeen has named 11 for the showdown, with one other player to be added dependant upon the First XI side named to face Warwickshire at Edgbaston.

A reminder that play starts at 10:30am, as all games in September do. The members lounge provision for the fixture will be in the Colin Milburn Lounge.
