Durham Second XI earned a hard-fought draw against Lancashire on the final day at Chester Boughton Hall CC.

The 2s were set an uphill task after being dispatched for 148 in their first innings and Lancashire’s impressive reply of 342, despite Nathan Rimmington’s impressive six-for.

However, some resilient batting from Durham, helped by Sol Bell’s 54 from 88 balls, meant the Ds grinded out a share of the points and successfully batted out 59 overs.
