Seconds travel south for final preseason game

Durham’s second string face Gloucestershire at Bristol tomorrow in their final friendly before the season commences.

Neil Killeen has another strong squad to choose from as they aim to round off their preseason with another emphatic victory.

They are full of confidence after two red ball victories in successive weeks, against Scotland and a combined Essex/Kent side respectively.

Wicketkeeper Stuart Poynter continued his fine form with another century while Barry McCarthy’s five-for hammered home the advantage on Day Four.

But there have been a host of impressive performances as plenty of Killeen’s side push for a place in Jon Lewis’ side.

Experienced batsman Gordon Muchall returns to the side at the expense of James Weighell, who travelled as part of the First XI squad to Surrey.

Squad vs Gloucestershire 2nd XI (2-5 May): Graham Clark, Phil Mustard, Gordon Muchall, Calum MacLeod, Stuart Poynter, Adam Hickey, Paul Coughlin, Usman Arshad, Gurman Randhawa, Jamie Harrison, Barry McCarthy, Gavin Main.
