SPECTATOR INFORMATION – DURHAM V NOTTS OUTLAWS – VITALITY BLAST

Durham open their Vitality Blast home campaign tomorrow when they take on Notts Outlaws at Seat Unique Riverside under the lights of Chester le Street.

The bank holiday Monday fixture comes at the end of the Durham Pride weekend and the club is extending the Pride celebrations and welcomes everyone down to celebrate the start of the T20 cricket season and the Clubs new partnership with Durham Pride when it hosts its first Pride in Cricket game.

The Club are working with officials from Durham Pride to make the game as fun and inclusive as possible for everyone and they are hoping for a carnival of colour to end the bank holiday weekend and Pride celebrations.

Here’s everything you need to know ahead of attending the fixture or watching from home!

GATES

Gates will open at 4:30pm

Hospitality gates will open at 4:30pm with access via gate 1.

There will be a number of access gates into the ground on the day of the fixture for those who have purchased tickets in advance, but please make sure to arrive early to avoid any queues.

You can enter Seat Unique Riverside via Gate 2, Gate 3 (no bags) and gate 5.

Spectators are asked to avoid bringing any bags if at all possible but where they do, please expect to be searched. Please be aware you can not bring your own alcoholic drinks or glass items into the Stadium for games in the Vitality Blast.

All tickets for this fixture are unreserved seating so you can sit anywhere inside Seat Unique Riverside.

HOURS OF PLAY

The scheduled hours of play are as follows, but please listen for announcements of any adjustments to these timings on the day.

6:30pm start

7:45pm – interval

9:15pm – close of play

VENUE

Seat Unique Riverside is a cashless venue.

TICKETS AND MEMBERSHIP

Tickets can be bought in advance from the box office at £16.50 for adults & £5 for juniors.

Tickets can be bought on the gate for £20 adults and £5 juniors.

Memberships and season tickets are not available to purchase on the gate and must be purchased prior to attending the game.

CAR PARKING

Parking will be located in the council car park opposite Bannatyne Health Club. Car parking passes can now be bought in advance for £3 by clicking here and we encourage as many people as possible to pre book your car pass.

Advanced purchases of car parking passes can be printed at home or downloaded to your phone to make your arrival smoother at the ground.

Disabled passes are also £3 in advance – please note there is no option to buy disabled passes but those with a government issued blue badge will receive priority parking at the front of the car park.

Parking on the day is also available at £5, with cashless payments at the gate.

Please be patient when leaving the ground as the car parks will be busy with traffic egressing. Our fan zone will be close 30 minutes after the close of play to grab a final bite to eat before leaving. There will also be a players signing session after the game.

The match will be played on pitch 12

 

SECURITY ARRANGEMENTS

Please allow sufficient time for our staff to carry out our security procedures (including bag searches and “pat – down”checks).

You can also assist with the security operation by reporting any concerns-no matter how small-to the club’s stewards. Help stay secure by staying alert; if something doesn’t look right, tell a steward

SHOP/RECEPTION/BOX OFFICE

Durham’s Welcome Hub will be open throughout this fixture.

Fans will have the chance to browse all of Durham’s retail offering in our club shop.

Free scorecards can be collected from the Welcome Hub.

Yearbooks are also available to buy for £10 from the Welcome Hub. A special Durham Cricket 2023 programme is available to purchase from the Welcome Hub priced at £3.

FAMILY ZONE

Durham Cricket are delighted that our Everyone Active Family Zone is back for 2023 in our new and refurbished Family Zone located behind block 5, as we aim to thrill the crowds both on and off the field; think you can bowl as fast as Mark Wood or pull off some Ben Stokes catches? If so, we have you covered. This will be open from 4:30pm.

FAN ZONE

In association with Diageo and Heineken, Durham Cricket will be launching a brand-new fan zone. The brand new Fan Zone will be situated in front of the main pavilion (former family zone location) and will feature live music plus food and drink offerings.

The Diageo and Heineken fan zone will host a large selection of varied food and drink options with seating to relax and enjoy live music before and during the game. Plus you can sit and enjoy a drink and bite to eat up to 30 minutes after the close of play.

FAMILY STAND

An all new family stand has been introduced for the 2023 season, located in the County Durham stand, block 5. Upper tier no alcohol. 

FOOD AND DRINK

The Durham Cricket members lounge will be open from 4:30pm serving hot and cold food and snacks along with hot and cold drinks.

The Sticky Wicket will be open from lunch and dinner along with hot and cold drinks.

The big screen bar will be open with tea, coffee, ice cream van and food vans located in the small car park opposite the big screen bar.

A number of food outlets will be open including, Pizza, Greek, hog, scampi and burger options will be available. New for this year is Kingdom of sweets who will be located near the family zone.

CUPS

Durham Cricket Club have partnered with North-East based Event Cup Solutions to provide the most sustainable reusable cup solution at the Seat Unique Riverside this season.

GROUND UPGRADES

An all-new Sensory Room will be open.

Based in the media centre, this room will provide safe, relaxing space for individuals and families to enjoy an unrivalled view of the game. Due to the space available this is done by calling 0191 387 17 17 or by emailing box.office@durhamcricket.co.uk.

Around the corner from the media centre in block 5, a new changing places facility has been installed which includes disabled toilets.

The new accessible changing facility meets the needs of those with complex care needs and provides equipment, including a height adjustable adult-sized changing bench, ceiling track hoist system and peninsular toilet.

LIVE STREAMING

As this fixture is live on Sky Sports there will be no live stream on the Durham YouTube channel. BBC Newcastle commentary with Martin Emmerson will be available on the BBC sport website and local radio station.
