CAR PARKING

Car Parking is now sold out in the council car parks located outside the ground. Please see below in travel arrangements section for alternative parking/travel options.

Car parks will take some time to empty at the end of the game so please be patient.

TRAVEL

We will operate two Park and Ride sites at Rainton Meadows Area [DH4 5PH] and Belmont [DH1 1SR].   These sites do not need to be booked in advance, although will operate on a first come first served basis.  A bus service to the ground will be  operating from 10.00am until 13.00pm, and again at the end of play.  The Park and Ride service will cost £5 return per person.

A shuttle bus will also operate from Durham Railway Station from 10am until 13:00pm, and again at the end of play for £5 return per person.

Park and walk options are also available from two sites in Chester le Street, these being Market Hall and Clarence Terrace at £10 per car.  This must be booked in advance from the club website www.durhamcricket.co.uk

Please do not park in streets around the ground as these are resident permit only.

NOTE:  At the end of play all cars leaving the site from any of the car parks will initially be directed away from the ground via Lumley New Road with diversion signs in place to direct spectators to main routes.

Also at the end of play there is a hard road closure between the A167 and the ground; NO VEHICLES will be allowed through this road closure for around 45 minutes once all spectators leaving on foot have done so safely.

As part of the egress plan the road from Great Lumley down to Seat Unique Riverside is closed too, meaning there will be no scope for taxis to access the ground to pick up during this 45 – 60 minute period at the end of play.

GROUND/PITCH ACCESS

Access onto the Playing Surface/Pitch is not allowed at any time during the match.

The match will be played on pitch 12.
