Sportability @ Durham

Sportability @ Durham County Cricket Foundation

Sportability is a multi-sports pan-disability programme that launched on Wednesday 17th July.

The sessions, lead by coaches from Durham Cricket Board and Sunderland Foundation of Light, is supported by Cestria Community Housing. The club will run on Wednesday 24th July and Wednesday 31st July at 5pm till 6pm in the Riverside Pavilion here at the Emirates Durham ICG. Initially there will be a mixture of football and cricket.

In September the Sportability Club will then aim to deliver a series of different sports to work with young people and adults (and their siblings and friends) from five years old upwards with a range of disabilities.

One parent was saying that this sort of activity was just what they needed to support their son, and to do it in such a great environment as Durham County Cricket Club is fantastic.
