Players have been here, there and everywhere but the common aim remains the same – to be in the best possible shape for the first game.
In addition to indoor practice, two groups have travelled to India and South Africa for additional outdoor training.
The entire squad will travel to Dubai on 20 March for nine days pre season preparation and to participate in the Emirates t20 Trophy before our first game on home soil, a friendly against Yorkshire on 1 and 2 April.
The 1 and 2 April are open days with free admission and tours around the ground from 11.00am -4.00pm – bring your friends and introduce them to Durham CCC!
Michael Di Venuto – spent the winter in Australia coaching Tasmania. He will represent Italy in their world t20 qualifiers in Dubai this March and join up with the Durham squad for the pre season tour.
Dale Benkenstein/Liam Plunkett/Chris Rushworth/Ben Stokes – currently in South Africa with the bowlers.
Mitchell Claydon – Played cricket in New Zealand with Canterbury. He is now in South Africa for bowling practice ahead of the pre season tour.
Gareth Breese/Mark Stoneman – Spent two weeks in India at the Global Cricket School in February.
Paul Collingwood – played t20 cricket in Australia before Christmas, is currently playing cricket in South Africa and will play in the IPL before joining up with Durham in May.
Phil Mustard – Won the Zimbabwe t20 competition with the Mountaineers before Christmas and is currently playing in the Bangladesh Premier League.
Graham Onions – Spend the early part of the winter with the England squad in the UAE.
Scott Borthwick – toured with England Lions in Bangladesh.
Michael Richardson – has been working at Brewin Dolphin during the winter.
