Squad named for Foxes clash

Jon Lewis has named a 14-man squad for tonight’s third NatWest T20 Blast match against Leicestershire Foxes, live on Sky Sports (6:30pm start).

The Jets are after their first victory in this year’s North Group against the current league leaders, who have put together a perfect record after three matches.

There is one change to the squad for the opening two fixtures as Gareth Harte comes in for Liam Trevaskis, who is away with an England Invitational XI facing India under-19s.

Harte could make his first team debut after penning terms earlier this season & the batsman thrashed 61 off 35 balls in Monday’s Second XI T20 win over Warwickshire.

Cameron Steel also impressed in that game, striking an unbeaten 109 off 67 balls including 17 boundaries, to stake a claim for his First XI T20 debut tonight.

Lewis’ men suffered a final over defeat against Northants Steelbacks last time out despite Jack Burnham’s unbeaten fifty.

The Foxes have defeated Lancashire Lightning, Worcestershire Rapids & Birmingham Bears in their opening three games, with dangerman overseas player Luke Ronchi scoring 46 off 23 in the most recent victory.

Gates open at 4:30pm with the family zone once again open with cricket activities.

Tickets are available on the gate, priced at £20 for adults & £5 juniors.
